Prior to the 2000/2001 season, the Royals introduced a new membership structure . This is a result of the successful efforts over the past few years to return the ownership and operations of the club to the members.
The new membership structure has introduced a category of General Member. A General Membership (or has a $600.00 value and consists of a $300 Equity Contribution which, in effect, makes the General Member a part-owner of the club and a $300 Capital Contribution which will be used for improvements to the club facilities. People who become General Members will be entitled to vote at club meetings; to hold a position on the Board of Directors of the club and if the club is ever sold, General Members will share in the proceeds of the sale.
Many curlers at Royals have recently become General Members. People who are not yet General Members may choose to pay the General Membership Fee in full or over a 10-year period.
Certain members will not be required to become General Members: Owner Members, Senior Members (65 or older on June 30, 2011), full-time students under 25 years old, Social Members, and Spares.
The Royals also offers new members a new curling broom. The Royals continues to offer a discount to our club members who are also members of an Associate League.
Below is the schedule of fees for the 2012-2013 season if you pay in
full before May 31st, and a schedule of fees payable after May 31st.
